The MR Product Tanker “UOG Sparta” was successfully delivered to its new owners in Durban, South Africa, at 14:08 (CET) 26th October. Furthermore, the  MR Product Tanker “UOG Oslo” (previously named “Swift Omaha”) was successfully delivered to its new owners in Los Angeles, USA, at 21:20 (CET) 27th October. ADS Maritime Holding Plc will act as Disponent Owner for the vessels and holds a 10 % shareholding in the owning companies.

The “UOG Oslo” is  fixed on a 2-year charter for 24 months +/- 30 days. After the firm period, the charterers have an optional period of 12 months. The vessel will be delivered to the charterers in Los Angeles within October. The “UOG Sparta”, will sail from Durban during the weekend to the Arabian Gulf (est. 14 days), for trading in the spot market. The intention for the next voyages is to trade her in the Middle East.

The acquisition is part of the Company’s strategy for opportunistic growth in shipping, including the tanker market, where ADSMH recently has taken positions within several segments.
